I attempted to bake some macarons this weekend - black sesame and durian flavors. It was only a 50% success rate as the black sesame patch went horribly wrong. Looks like I’ll be trying again next weekend and hopefully I’ll get it right!
Picked up my KitchenAid Stand Mixer earlier this week. Can’t wait to put it to use!
My sister asked me to make these for her friend’s new baby. How can I resist? They are just adorable, I don’t think I’ll get tired of making these tiny shoes and bibs!
Made some almond tofu and lavender macarons with some friends today! Ummm, should I invest in a kitchenaid stand mixer too?
Using the same tutorial below, I made a couple more lunch bags for my friend’s daughter. The ones I made last year ripped, so this time I included a vinyl liner for greater durability.
Made these bacon cupcakes for my friend’s 30th. It was a hit!!!
I followed the recipe below, but made one tiny modification - I added bacon pieces to the batter to get a stronger bacon taste. YUM!

March 04, 2012 - Sewing Machine - Our friend is a sewing machine; not literally, but since buying a sewing machine, she’s been spitting out craft after craft. She made this for my wife the other day; it’s a small pouch with elephant print inside.
Couldn’t find a model for my newly constructed bean bag chair, luckily Domo was around to lend a helping hand. LOL. I followed the tutorial below to make a child size bean bag however I used more than the 100 litres of pellet required. It’s probably because I used a really soft and stretchy fabric for the inner lining bag. Overall, it turned out well and the instructions with pictures were really easy to follow.
